Create the target dmgr profile

 

Step 3: Scenario 1: Migrating a cell using the command line tools

The target dmgr profile is a new dmgr profile that will be the target of the migration.

The v8.0 profile nodeName and cellName must match the previous v6.x or 7x nodeName and cellName. If the v8.0 dmgr cellName or nodeName are different, the migration will fail.

Procedure

1. Run the manageprofiles command with the appropriate parameters to create a new dmgr profile. For example:

   /opt/WASv8/bin/manageprofiles.sh -create -profileName v61v8dmgr01
   -templatePath /opt/WASv8/profileTemplates/management -serverType
   DEPLOYMENT_MANAGER -nodeName currentDmgrNodeName -cellName currentCellName
   -hostName mydmgrhost.company.com
