Tune
We can improve the performance of virtual member manager by monitoring and adjusting the cache and the context pool. Performance is also enhanced by the virtual member manager automatic recovery features and by periodically cleaning up trace logging files.
Use either of the following suggestions, which might improve the performance of virtual member manager repositories:
- Create the root DataObject object locally using the com.ibm.websphere.wim.util.SDOHelper.createRootDataObject method instead of the com.ibm.websphere.wim.ServiceProvider.createRootDataObject method.
- For LDAP repository configuration, set the Maximum size value of the context pool to zero (0) using the Administrative Console for WAS.
