Use the DataPower appliance manager
Overview
Before adding an appliance to the WebSphere Datapower appliance manager, verify that...
- The appliance we are adding has firmware v3.6.0.4 or higher.
- The DataPower WebGUI has been used to enabled the XML management Appliance Management Protocol endpoint for each appliance. The Web Management Service port, default 9090, is used to access the WebGUI on the DataPower appliance.
- The appliance manager can communicate, through the firewall, with the port on the appliance used for the XML management interface endpoint. Default port is 5550.
- The appliance can communicate, through the firewall, with the port used for the DataPowerMgr_inbound_secure endpoint on the dmgr.
When the DataPower appliance manager starts, it automatically starts the channel chain which causes a bind to the port that is defined for the DataPower appliance manager.
