Set rules to route requests to Web servers

This section provides information to configure rules to route requests to web servers or appservers that are not on-demand configuration (ODC)-compliant.

The proxy server permits explicit configuration of routing rules in order for client requests to route to Web servers or appservers that are not ODC-compliant. This involves completing following tasks.

  1. Create a URI group.

To define the URI patterns that are associated with the Web content that is hosted on these servers, in the admin console click Environment > URI groups.

  2. Create a generic server cluster definition.

To define the endpoints that define the cluster membership, in the admin console click Servers > Clusters > Generic server clusters.

  3. Create routing rules from the detail view of the proxy server panel that associates the inbound virtual host and a defined URI group to a defined generic server cluster.
