Overview

By creating a dmgr profile, a cell is created. Cells are used to group and manage nodes.

Master configuration data is stored in XML files for each server in every node in the cell. Each node and server also have their own local configuration files. While in effect, local changes override cell configurations. Synchronization can occur manually, or during events, such as when a server starts.

You can add additional nodes using on the Node page.

The property has no impact on the server process.

Both IPv4 and IPv6 are supported by WAS, but there are restrictions that apply to using both IPv4 and IPv6 in the same cell. When you add a node to a cell, the format specified for the host name is based on the version of IP the node will be using.
