Secure SIP applications

We can apply digest authentication and Trust Association Interceptor (TAI) for a SIP application by applying LDAP security to the application.

Before we can apply security, first deploy an application that has been developed to support security (with web.xml configured for security) and roles.

The following software must also be installed:

  1. Install a supported LDAP server. For a list of supported LDAP servers, see the IBM Web site for WAS supported hardware, software, and APIs.

  2. Set up and activate Lightweight Third Party Authentication.

See theConfiguring the Lightweight Third Party Authentication mechanism topic.

To apply LDAP security to a SIP application, click Applications > Enterprise Applications > applicationName and complete the following steps:

  1. Click Detail Properties > Security role to user/group mapping.

  2. Check All Authenticated.

  3. Save all changes.

  4. Restart the server.
