Set message listener resources for message-driven beans >Delete a listener port
Use this task to delete a listener port from the message listener service, to prevent message-driven beans associated with the port from retrieving messages.
A listener port defines the association between a connection factory, a destination, and a deployed message-driven bean. For more information, see Message-driven beans - listener port components.
To delete a listener port, use the admin console to complete the following steps:
- Start the admin console.
- In the navigation pane, click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server_name > [Communications] Messaging > Message listener service > [Additional Properties] Listener Ports
The Message listener port collection panel is displayed.
- Select the check box for the listener port that you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
This action stops the port (needed to allow the port to be deleted) then deletes the port.
- Save the changes to the master configuration.
- To have the changed configuration take effect, stop then restart the appserver.
