3.2.2 Distributed server environment

There are two options for building this environment. The option you select depends on your circumstance. If you are building a new production environment from scratch, we would recommend method 1. Either method is fine for a development or test environment.

When defining multiple deployment managers or appservers on a single machine or LPAR, ensure that the ports and names you select for each are unique. For more information about ports, see Planning and Designing for WAS V6.1, SG24-7305.
