To start out with application management, we need a tool that provides you with the most insights about your environment. Today, these environments usually do not reside on a single machine or span only a single appserver. Therefore, Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance is able to track transactions over multiple machines and multiple appservers.
In addition, it is also capable of finding potential network problems and include network latency in transaction decomposition.

Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance can monitor applications in two ways:
