The Load Balancer function from the WebSphere Edge Components allows you to implement load balancing for HTTP requests among two or more Web servers. In our sample topology, we defined a cluster named...

cluster.itso.ibm.com

...with IP address...

10.20.10.100

The configuration steps needed are:

1. The Load Balancer must be configured so that it recognizes the Web server cluster. In our sample topology:

   cluster.itso.ibm.com

   ...and its members...

   • http1
   • http2

2. The Web servers (and their machines) must be properly configured so that they can work with the cluster defined by Load Balancer.
