Rolling back your environment
After migrating to a WAS V6.1 environment, you can roll back to a V5.x or 6.0.x environment. This returns the configuration to the state that it was in before migration. After rolling back the environment, you can restart the migration process.
Overview
Generally, migration does not modify anything in the configuration of the prior release; however, there are cases where minimal changes are made that are reversible—those of a deployment manager and its managed nodes.
Procedure
- To roll back a V6.1 deployment manager and its managed nodes to V5.x or 6.0.x, follow the instructions in Rolling back a deployment cell.
- To roll back a V6.1 managed node to V5.x or 6.0.x, follow the instructions in Rolling back a managed node.
Results
The configuration should now be returned to the state that it was in before migration.
What to do next
You can now restart the migration process if you want to do so.
