Installing an IIP
Use the integrated installation package (IIP) Installation wizard to install the individual installation packages that are contained in a specific IIP.
Before you begin
Before you can install an IIP, create a build definition file to specify what options to include in the IIP. See Creating a build definition file and generating an IIP for more information.
Procedure
- Run the following script from the IIP_home/bin/ directory to launch the wizard:
- install.bat
- install.sh
- Review the Welcome panel, and click Next to continue. To view the details of the IIP, such as the package identifier, the supported operating systems, and the included installation packages, click About. Optional: To modify the installation options for each package, click Modify.
Two View Log buttons display on the wizard page. To view the log of each package, click the View Log button that is displayed next to the table that lists the installation packages. To view the overall log details of the IIP, click the View Log button that is displayed next to the status information.
- Select the installation packages to run, and click Install. The panel displays a list of all the contributions in the order of invocation that the IIP contains. To designate which contribution invocations should not be run during the installation of the IIP, clear the checkbox that is located next to the Installation name field.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
