encodePassword.sh|bat script


You can use the encodePassword.sh|bat script to encode a password value that you enter in the administrative console. By encoding your password, you can prevent the password from being shared.

 

Purpose

You can use the encodePassword.sh|bat script to encode the passwords that you enter as custom property values into the administrative console.

 

Location

The encodePassword.sh|bat script is located in the install_root/bin directory.

 

Usage

The default script usage follows: 

./encodePassword.sh|bat

 

Parameters

Use the following parameter with the encodePassword.sh|bat script:

password
Specifies the password to encode.

 

Example 

./encodePassword.sh|bat password01

 

Result

The script returns an encoded password that you can copy and use for your custom property value.
