Configure Active Directory
We can choose to configure the LDAP to support one-realm (non-realm support) or multiple realms (realm support).
- Configuring LDAP server for non-realm support
Choose one of the following methods to configure the LDAP server for non-realm support.
- Configuring Active Directory for realm support
Choose this option to configure the WAS to access the LDAP server through the database user registry. In this configuration, one or more user registries and, therefore one or more "realms", can be created. A "realm" is a concept that denotes a specific body of users accessing a specific portal configuration. Refer to Multiple virtual portals for information about creating separate, customizable portals for different groups of users within an organization.
