Restoring a search index

Restore the search index

To restore the Portal Search indexes, simply unzip the backup copy to an empty directory (this is the default).

For Windows, the default directory is portal_server_root \jcr\search.

If we are not using the default location for the Portal Search indexes, we can find the location value in the file portal_server_root \jcr\lib\com\ibm\icm\icm.properties. The jcr.textsearch.indexdirectory key specifies the location of the search indexes.
