Spell check a document in Document Manager

Spell check a document in the rich text editor.

When you are using the rich text editor, the spell checker is invoked from the Check Spelling icon spellcheck on the toolbar inside the editor window. The spell checker looks for misspelled words in the text area. The spell checker compares each word to words in the dictionary for the locale specified in the request. If the request does not specify a locale, then the spell checker uses the dictionary for the locale of the server. The spell checker offers suggestions for words determined to be misspelled.

  1. With the document open in the rich text editor, click the Check Spelling icon.

  2. If a spelling error is found, a window opens with suggested corrections.

  3. To accept the default correction, click Replace. If the initial suggestion is not the correct word, click on the correct word in the list of suggestions, or enter the word into the Replace with field, then click the Replace button.

  4. Repeat these steps to correct all spelling errors. When there are no more errors, the message Spell check complete appears.

  5. Click OK to return to editing the document.
