Stage Web content to production
An IWWCM (IWWCM) solution will require more than one instance of the WCM application and WCM portlets. These multiple installations are used to separate authoring from delivery, load-balance a WCM environment, and to provide redundancy.
- Basic architectures
We can set up the IWWCM environment with a combination of authoring, staging, and delivery applications to support both test and production environments.
- Decentralized authoring
Typically a single authoring application is sufficient to manage all authoring activities in most environments. However, there might be some cases when you might want to set up a decentralized authoring environment.
- Built-in redundancy
Syndication can be used to supply built-in redundancy to a group of WCM applications.
- Delivery options
There are several different ways we can choose to deliver IWWCM content to users, including rendering portlets, a specialized servlet, and pre-rendered sites.
- Secured architecture
Firewalls can used to secure IWWCM applications.
- Syndication
Syndication is used to transport data from one instance of IWWCM to another.
