Present documents in Web content
Documents stored in Document Manager can be referenced in IWWCM (WCM) using a Document Manager element.
Integration between Document Manager and WCM is seamless. No additional configuration is required. You reference a Document Manager document in WCM by creating a Document Manager element and then referencing this in a presentation template or element design using a Document Manager tag.
Storing a file in Document Manager versus storing a file in WCM.
A file can be stored both as a document in Document Manager or as an element, such as a file resource element, in WCM. You only store a file in WCM if it is to be used only by WCM. If other WebSphere Portal modules require access to a file, or if we need to use a feature provided by Document Manager, then store the file as a document in Document Manager.
