IBM Web Page
Web Page uses iFrames to display original content of specified Web addresses without modifications. It supports both basic and form-based authentication. Authentication is supported when WebSphere Portal and the specified Web server are on the same domain. If a specified Web address requires authentication, the administrator can specify the authentication parameters in Web Page whereas the user can enter the user name and password when accessing the portlet for the first time, allowing Web Page to authenticate with the specified Web address. This prevents the user from being required to enter the user name and password every time this page is accessed.
Use Web Page
Authentication is not required to access this portlet. However, authentication options for the Web address to be displayed can be specified in the Edit mode of the portlet.
Test assumptions
Single sign on for Web Page only supports Web addresses in the same domain as WebSphere Portal.

Configuration parameters
Portal Administrator can configure these parameters in Edit mode:
Parameter Value Title Title for the web page portlet. URL URL of the web address to be displayed. Width & Height Width and height to be used for the portlet on the Portal page. Authentication Type Basic and form-based authentication types are supported. Credential Vault Slot Create a Credential Vault Slot using the Credential Vault Portlet and select the slot in the Edit mode.
Known Limitations
Basic authentication support will expose the user ID and password in the HTML source because of the limitation in iFrame portlet. We can create a Web clipping portlet to avoid this problem; see the Web Clipping documentation in the WebSphere Portal InfoCenter for details. Single sign-on for Basic authentication will only work with browsers that support URL's of the format http://user:password@server.com. It will not work with browsers that do not support the above URL pattern. A known browser that doesn't support the above pattern is Microsoft Internet Explorer after applying the MS04-004 Cumulative Security Update.
The Portal Server and the Log-in URL must be in the same domain when using form-based authentication. Use the domain names while accessing the portal server and while specifying the Log-in URL instead of IP address. Webpage portlet supports form-based authentication only for forms that are submitted using GET method.
