Enable awareness when Lotus Sametime authenticates with a native Domino Directory

We can customize the CSEnvironment.properties file to support awareness when Sametime authenticates against a native (non-LDAP) Domino Directory, by specifying the delimiter character for distinguished names.

Keep this setting commented out unless Sametime authenticates against a native Domino Directory. The setting causes the STLinks applet to use a slash as the delimiter, which is the character that the native Domino Directory expects. For example, if a user's DN in the portal is...

CN=Test User1,O=IBM

...this setting will change the way STlinks loads to use the same format.

  1. Modify CSEnvironment.properties

  2. Modify the property:

    CS_SERVER_SAMETIME_1.dnNameSeparator

    Set the value to the single character slash (/)

    For example:

    CS_SERVER_SAMETIME_1.dnNameSeparator=/
