Upgrading projects

 

After you install and upgrade plug-ins, upgrade existing projects to use the new plug-in files. Follow these steps to upgrade a project to incorporate the newest IBM^® WebSphere^® Portlet Factory plug-in files.

1. In Portlet Factory Designer, open the project to be upgraded.

2. Right-click the project in the Navigator and select WebSphere Portlet Factory > Upgrade Project Version.

3. When prompted, click OK.

   The project will be updated to use the latest components.

4. For the deployed applications to use the new versions of the files, you will need to cycle the server after you update the project.
