Log analyzer not supported on 64-bit Windows systems
The log analyzer is not supported on 64-bit Windows systems. If you run the log analyzer tool on a 64-bit Windows system, you will see the IllegalAccessError error and the tool will not start.
You will also see the following exception:
app_server_root\bin>waslogbr Cannot open input stream for waslogbrsys Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalAccessError at com.ibm.ivb.jface.minimal.MinimalComponentSplitterUI.installUI(MinimalComponentSplitterUI.java:73) at javax.swing.JComponent.setUI(JComponent.java:484) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.parts.ComponentSplitter.updateUI(ComponentSplitter.java:332) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.parts.ComponentSplitter.(ComponentSplitter.java:77) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.parts.ComponentSplitter.(ComponentSplitter.java:69) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.parts.PaneSplitter.(PaneSplitter.java:90) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.PaneManager$MyPaneSplitter.(PaneManager.java:111) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.PaneManager.(PaneManager.java:140) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.PaneManager.(PaneManager.java:124) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.PaneContext.buildPanesForPage(PaneContext.java:127) at com.ibm.ivb.jface.PaneFrame.buildPanesForPage(PaneFrame.java:79) at com.ibm.ivb.log.ui.LogBrowser.createApplicationFrame(LogBrowser.java:293) at com.ibm.ivb.log.ui.LogBrowser.main(LogBrowser.java:958)We can solve this problem by using either of these solutions:
- Move the activity.log file to another non-64-bit Windows system for analysis with the log analyzer tool.
- Use the Log and Trace Analyzer built into the Application Server Toolkit (AST).
