Working with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on i5/OS
This chapter describes how you set up and work with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on i5/OS. The operations we can perform are:
- Set up a key repository
- Working with a key repository
- Obtaining server certificates
- Adding server certificates to a key repository
- Managing digital certificates
- Configuring cryptographic hardware
- Mapping DNs to user IDs
For i5/OS, the SSL support is integral to the operating system. Ensure that you have installed the prerequisites listed in WebSphere MQ for iSeries™ Quick Beginnings.
On i5/OS, you manage keys and digital certificates with the Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) tool.
- Digital Certificate Manager (DCM)
- Assigning a certificate to a queue manager
- Set up a key repository
- Working with a key repository
- Obtaining server certificates
- Adding server certificates to a key repository
- Managing digital certificates
- Configuring cryptographic hardware
