Conventions used in this book
- z/OS means any release of z/OS or OS/390 that supports the current version of WebSphere MQ.
- Throughout this book, the term object refers to any WebSphere MQ queue manager, queue, namelist, channel, storage class, process, authentication information, or CF structure.
- The examples in this book are taken from a queue manager with a command prefix string (CPF) of +CSQ1. The commands are shown in UPPERCASE.
- CICS means both CICS Transaction Server for OS/390 (z/OS) and CICS for MVS/ESA, IMS means IMS/ESA.
- Throughout this book, the default value
thlqual is used to indicate the target library high-level qualifier for WebSphere MQ data sets in your installation.
- Only MQSC commands are mentioned in this book. The equivalent PCF command can be used instead of an MQSC command. See WebSphere MQ Programmable Command Formats and Administration Interface for details of PCF commands.
