Customizing WebSphere MQ and its adapters
WebSphere MQ requires some customization after installation to meet the individual and special requirements of your system, and to use your system resources in the most effective way. These are the tasks that perform when you customize your system:
- Identify the z/OS system parameters
- APF authorize the WebSphere MQ load libraries
- Update the z/OS link list and LPA
- Update the z/OS program properties table
- Define the WebSphere MQ subsystem to z/OS
- Create procedures for the WebSphere MQ subsystem
- Create procedures for the channel initiator
- Set up the DB2 environment
- Set up the Coupling Facility
- Implement your ESM security controls
- Update SYS1.PARMLIB members
- Customize the initialization input data sets
- Create the bootstrap and log data sets
- Define your page sets
- Add the WebSphere MQ entries to the DB2 data-sharing group
- Tailor your system parameter module
- Tailor the channel initiator parameter module
- Set up Batch, TSO, and RRS adapters
- Set up the operations and control panels
- Include the WebSphere MQ dump formatting member
- Suppress information messages
