Applying maintenance to WebSphere MQ for iSeries
To find out what version you have currently installed, use the following commands:-
MQ commands to display the installed versions WebSphere MQ Product Vcommand WebSphere MQ Server DSPMQMVERWebSphere MQ JMS Client WebSphere MQ Classes for Java™: java com.ibm.mq.jms.MQJMSLevelWebSphere MQ Classes for Java Message Service:java com.ibm.mq.MQJavaLevelService updates for WebSphere MQ for iSeries™ are supplied as PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes). They are available for download from the web as save files, which are normally stored in the QGPL library. For details of how to load and apply PTFs and read their cover letters, see the iSeries Basic System Operation, Administration, and Problem Handling manual, SC41-5206.

- Read the cover letter carefully to see if we need to take any special actions.
- Quiesce all queue managers, as described in Quiescing MQ.
