Prepare the system

 

This section describes steps take before installing WebSphere MQ for iSeries™, V6.0. Use the following procedure only if you have never installed WebSphere MQ or MQSeries on your system before.

Read the Readme file on the product or documentation CDs.

To run WebSphere MQ for iSeries, V6.0, have the OS/400 V5R2 or later operating system installed on your machine.

If you are migrating to V6.0 from V5.2 or V5.1, refer instead to Migrating from MQ V5.1 or later.
