Operating systems

 

WebSphere MQ requires one of the following:

• Microsoft Windows 2000 (32-bit version only) with Service Pack 4 or later. This can be any of the following products:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server

  If you want to use COM+, have COM+ Rollup Package 18.1 or later.

  COM+ Rollup Package 18.1 has a Microsoft Knowledge Base article number of Q313582 and is available from the Microsoft Web site at:

  http://www.microsoft.com

• Microsoft Windows XP Professional. This can be either of the following products:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professiona1 (32-bit version)

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (this operating system is supported on WebSphere MQ V6.0.2.1 and later releases only)

• Microsoft Windows Server 2003 . This can be one of the following products:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition (this operating system is supported on WebSphere MQ V6.0.2.1 and later releases only)

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition (this operating system is supported on WebSphere MQ V6.0.2.1 and later releases only)
