What is Transcoding Technology
Overview
Transcoding technology allows one to make Web-based information available to users of handheld and other pervasive devices by modifying content presented to users based on the information associated with the request, such as device constraints and organizational policies.
Transcoding technology uses transcoding plugins to perform conversions, such as from HTML for a browser, to WML for a Web-enabled cell phone.
