Current Action Count or Action Name

Current action count, like current category count, is a way to base a profiler or rule on the number of times a Web site visitor has performed certain actions. These actions must be logged using the appropriate logging beans in order to be accessible by the rule. Current action name inspects the names of the actions logged.

In the rule editor, when basing an evaluation on a "current" action, you can select from eleven stock actions or type the name of a custom action. The stock actions are:

  • Shopping Cart Insert — increments when an item is added to the user's shopping cart.
  • Shopping Cart Delete — increments when an item is removed from a user's shopping cart.
  • Purchase — increments when an item is purchased.
  • Order Cancel — increments when a user cancels an order.
  • Item View — increments when a particular item is viewed.
  • Detailed Item View — increments when the user accesses the detailed view for an item is
  • Rated Content — increments when the user inputs a rating (evaluation) for an item.
  • Wishlist Add — increments when a user adds an item to a wishlist.
  • Wishlist Delete — increments when a user deletes an item from a wishlist.
  • Browse Content
  • Search — increments when the visitor uses the site's search facility.
