Use the "Link To" Button

  1. Open the Authoring Portlet (Web Content Authoring)
  2. Click on Content Management and then Content Library from the Item Views Navigator (located on the left pane of the Authoring Portlet).
  3. Navigate through the Content Views and then select the Content you would like to link to a Site Area.
  4. Then click the Link To button.
  5. The Link Content dialogue box will open.

    1. To add an item, click Add Another dialog will open. Navigate through the list of Sites and Site Areas using the Tree in the left-hand pane of the dialog, and then select the Site Area you would like to link the Content to in the Index and then click OK
    2. To remove items, first select the required items from the item list, then click Remove
  6. Click OK The chosen Content item is now linked to the selected Site Areas.

have Read access to a Site Area to use the Add Links button. Note:

You can also use the Link To button to remove Content from Site Areas by deselecting them from the Selected column. Note: Authoring Template-Presentation Template relationships

When choosing a Site Area to link Content to, ensure that the Site or Site Area you choose has a valid Authoring Template-Presentation Template relationship. Note: Previewing Content

When previewing Content that is linked to more than one Site or Site Area, a dialogue will open allowing you to choose which view you wish to preview. Note: Previewing User Access

When previewing a page, you are viewing the page as the User you are logged into the Authoring Portlet (Web Content Authoring) as. To preview a Page as a User with a different level of access than your own, such as Anonymous, you will need to open another browser session and preview the site as that User.
