User Migration
Overview
The users and groups used by IWWCM to set User access and security are managed by Member Manager.
In previous versions of IWWCM, Users and Groups were created and managed with IWWCM itself.
The User Migration process detailed in this topic only relates to the migration of IWWCM Users and Groups to Member Manager. If you used LDAP Users and Groups with an earlier version of IWWCM either:
- Configure Member Manager to use your existing LDAP server
...or...
- Copy your existing LDAP Users or Groups into the LDAP server being used by Member Manager.
Both these steps should be performed prior to migrating your current IWWCM Users or Groups.
Custom LDAP attributes used to map IWWCM profiling to LDAP Users and Groups cannot be migrated.
WebSphere Portal security should be enabled prior to running the User Migrator. If WebSphere Portal security is enabled at any time after User Migration has been run, perform User Migration again.
You cannot directly migrate users to a z/OS installation. first upgrade your current non-z/OS server and migrate your Users to an LDAP repository and then configure your z/OS installation to use that LDAP repository. Refer to the Upgrading Process for z/OS topic for further information.
