Search Rule Fields

This section is used to set the search parameters to be used by this Search Rule.

Restricted Current Content Categories

Search Rule Type This indicates what Search Rule Type is being used.
Category branch restrictions This can be used to restrict the Current Content Categories used as search parameters in a Menu to those selected in this Search Rule. Select any Category branches you would like to restrict your search to here.

Restricted Current User Categories

Search Rule Type This indicates what Search Rule Type is being used.
Category branch restrictions This can be used to restrict the Current User Categories used as search parameters in a Menu to those selected in this Search Rule. Select any Category branches you would like to restrict your search to here.

Query String Categories

Search Rule Type This indicates what Search Rule Type is being used.
Key This can be used to select Categories listed in a URL as search parameters in a Menu. This would mainly be used with URLs created using the Profile Component. See the Component Design chapter for further information on this component. A key to be used to search URL query strings can be entered here.
Category Branch restrictions Select any Category branches you would like to restrict your search to here.
Categories to use when none match Select any Categories you would like use if no matches are found. It is recommended that, in most cases, only child level Categories be used to profile Content. This will give you more control over what will display in Menus.
