Enable VControl
Overview
The aptrixjpe.properties file can be edited to enable the version control of different items.
To enable version control, add...
com.aptrix.versioncontrol.VersioningControl...to any of the control.[item] settings.
E.g. - control.Content=com.aptrix.versioncontrol.VersioningControl
Applying VControl to Existing Items
Only items created after enabling version control are version-enabled. To enable version control on items created prior to version control being enabled, run the Versioning Enablement tool by entering the following URL in a browser:
http://[HOST]:[PORT]/wps/wcm/connect?MOD=VersioningEnablementThis URL can be used more than once. I.e. - whenever a new item-type is version-enabled.
Disable VControl
To disable version control, remove com.aptrix.versioncontrol.VersioningControl from any of the control.[item] settings in aptrixjpe.properties
Removing version control from Authoring Templates and Content Items
If you enable version control for Authoring Templates and Content Items, and then disable version control you may find that version control is still enabled when creating new Content. delete and recreate any Authoring Templates that were created when version control was enabled.
