Displaying Content in Different Languages
Web Sites that automatically display content in different languages based on a user's locale are not directly supported by Web Content Management. It is possible to create separate Sites within Web Content Management using different languages.
Example:
If you needed to display different versions, or different sections, of a Web Site using different languages, create a separate Site within Web Content Management for each language. Languages using the same encoding, (E.g. - UTF8) could be delivered using the same Delivery application. Other languages using different encoding would need to be delivered using separate Web Content Management applications on separate servers. Each Web Site will not automatically be delivered to a user based on their locale. You will need to provide a page for Users to select which language (which Site) they would like to view.
Note: Rendering Content in Different Languages: Web Sites rendered via the Local Rendering Portlet (Web Content Viewer) are displayed based on the locale settings of WebSphere Portal. See the WebSphere Portal Information Center for details on locale options of Portlets displayed using WebSphere Portal.
Web Sites rendered via the Remote Rendering Portlet, or via the Web Content Management Servlet, will use the default encoding of the server Web Content Management is installed on.
