Web server configuration reload interval

WAS administration tracks a variety of configuration information about WAS resources. Some of this information, such as URIs pointing to WAS resources, needs to be understood by the Web server. This configuration data is pushed to the Web server through the WAS plug-in at intervals specified by this parameter. Periodic updates allow new servlet definitions to be added without having to restart any of the WAS servers. However, the dynamic regeneration of this configuration information is costly in terms of performance. You can try to adjust this value in a stable production environment. The default reload interval setting is 60 seconds.

This parameter, <RefreshInterval=xxxx>, where xxxx is the number of seconds, is specified in the <WAS_HOME>/config/plug-in.xml file. Increase the reload interval to a value that represents an acceptable wait time between the servlet update and the Web server update.
