Palette view
The Palette view (
Window | Show View | General | Palette) contains a palette with a series of drawers. Each drawer contain items that you can drag and drop into the active editor. For example, if you are editing a JSP page in Page Designer, you can open the JavaServer Pages drawer and drag and drop a JSP bean onto the JSP page. The drawers and their contents vary depending on the active editor.
Customizing the palette
To customize the Palette view, right-click within the Palette view, select Customize and then add or hide the items you want to see. Additionally, you can increase the size of the icons in the palette by right-clicking within the palette and selecting Use Large Icons).
Exporting palette settings
Once you have customized the palette, you can export the palette settings:
- In the Workbench, click
File | Export. The Export dialog opens.
- Expand
General and click
Preferences. Click Next. The Export Preferences dialog opens.
- Select
Palette Settings in the Preferences list. In the
To preference file field, type the name of the preference file.
- Click Finish.
Importing palette settings
To import palette settings:
- In the Workbench, click
File | Import. The Import dialog opens.
- Expand
General and click
Preferences. Click Next. The Import Preferences dialog opens.
- Click Browse to select the preference file that you want to import.
- Select
Palette Settings in the Preferences list.
- Click Finish.
