Configure Managed File Transfer preferences
The Managed File Transfer preferences that we can configure in IBM MQ Explorer include general preferences and the default global configuration type. We can also select the level of functional fix pack behavior that we want to enable.
To configure Managed File Transfer preferences within IBM MQ Explorer, complete one of the following tasks:
- Set general preferences
- Overriding the default global configuration subscription type
- Selecting the level of fix pack function
Parent topic: Preferences for IBM MQ Explorer
We can override the default time zone in which to display any date and time values in the
Managed File Transfer panels, and we can select the maximum number of
log and progress messages to store and retain in the plugin's state.
We can override the type of subscription that is made when we are connecting to a globally
configured property set. We can configure subscriptions to be durable or non-durable. This setting
determines what happens when the plug-in disconnects from the coordination queue manager. Durable
subscriptions continue to exist while the plug-in is disconnected and continue to receive
publications. Non-durable subscriptions exist only if the connection to the queue manager is
available.
We can select the level of functional fix pack behavior that we want to enable. In addition to
APAR fixes, certain levels of IBM MQ Explorer Fix Packs
contain new function or changes in behavior that are disabled by default. To enable these changes,
select the level of function that we want to move to. This setting does not affect the application
of fixes, which are always applied.
