Upgrading the IBM MQ Operator using the OpenShift web console

The IBM MQ Operator can be upgraded using the Operator Hub.


Before starting

Log in to the OpenShift cluster's web console.


About this task

New major/minor IBM MQ Operator versions are delivered through new Subscription Channels. To upgrade your Operator to a new major/minor version, we will need to update the selected channel in the IBM MQ Operator Subscription.


Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Operators > Installed Operators. All installed Operators in the specified project are displayed.
  2. Select the IBM MQ Operator
  3. Navigate to the Subscription tab
  4. Click the Channel The Change Subscription Update Channel window is displayed.
  5. Select the latest channel, and click Save. The operator will upgrade to the latest version available to the new channel. See Version support for the IBM MQ Operator.
