Change IP addresses in disaster recovery configurations

If we change the IP addresses of either of the interfaces in a disaster recovery configuration, replication is no longer possible between the two nodes.

For to change IP addresses for the replication interface for either of our DR nodes, you must use the following procedure:

1. Delete the DR queue managers on each node. First back up the queue managers and then delete them, see Backing up and restoring IBM MQ queue manager data and Delete a DR RDQM.
2. Recreate the DR queue managers, specifying the new IP addresses, and restore the back ups, see Create a disaster recovery RDQM and Backing up and restoring IBM MQ queue manager data.
