Use the IBM MQ Taskbar application (Windows only)

The IBM MQ Taskbar application displays an icon in the Windows system tray on the server. The icon provides you with the current status of IBM MQ and a menu from which we can perform some simple actions.

On Windows, the IBM MQ icon is in the system tray on the server and is overlaid with a color-coded status symbol, which can have one of the following meanings:

Green

Work correctly; no alerts at present

Blue

Indeterminate; IBM MQ is starting up or shutting down

Yellow

Alert; one or more services are failing or have already failed

To display the menu, right-click the IBM MQ icon. From the menu we can perform the following actions:

• Click Open to open the IBM MQ Alert Monitor.
• Click Exit to exit the IBM MQ Taskbar application.
• Click IBM MQ Explorer to start the IBM MQ Explorer.
• Click Stop IBM MQ to stop IBM MQ.
• Click About IBM MQ to display information about the IBM MQ Alert Monitor.

• The IBM MQ alert monitor application ( Windows only)
  The IBM MQ alert monitor is an error detection tool that identifies and records problems with IBM MQ on a local machine.
