Resetting message sequence numbers for a channel

We can reset message sequence numbers for a channel using MQSC commands or using the operations and control panels.

To reset channel sequence numbers using the MQSC commands, use RESET CHANNEL.

Use the operations and control panels, starting from the initial panel, complete these fields and press enter:

The Perform a Channel Function panel is displayed (see Figure 1 ).

Select Function type 1 (reset).

Select the disposition of the channel for which the reset is to be done and on which queue manager it is to be done.

The sequence number field is initially set to one. Change this value if you want, and press enter.
