What is the Board?

Every user has a message board area on their profile page known as the board, where the most recent status updates for the user are displayed. Other users can post messages or comments to the person's board, making it easy for them to communicate directly with that person without leaving Profiles.

The board area of a person's profile displays the latest updates to the profile owner's status message, helping you to keep up with what the person is doing, what they are working on, and how busy they are. You can go to people's profile pages and quickly scan their board to see a summary of their latest updates. The profile owner and other users can post comments in response to any update entries or messages.

Your administrator can choose whether to enable or disable the board feature for users in your organization. By default, the board is enabled. The administrator can also configure settings for the board to control who can post to it. For example, the administrator might choose to limit board access so that only the people in a user's network can post comments to that user's board.
