Update 3.0 databases
Update Lotus Connections 3.0 databases to version 3.0.1 in an existing database environment.You can choose from two updating strategies:
In-place
Update the databases on the same system as the earlier version. This strategy saves time and hardware resources. After updating to version 3.0.1, you can no longer use the version 3.0 deployment.
Side-by-side
On a separate system, create version 3.0 databases. Transfer your existing 3.0 databases to that system and then update the new databases to version 3.0.1. This strategy requires more time and resources but is a good way to test the update while you continue to use your 3.0 production databases.
To update the databases, you need to download the updated IBM Connections Wizards from Passport Advantage using following part number:
- CZVQ9ML: IBM Connections 3.0.1 wizards for Windows
- CZVR1ML: IBM Connections 3.0.1 wizards for Linux x86/System z/AIX
These IBM Connections Wizards packages contain the required database update scripts for your platform.
Note: You can update databases with the wizard or with the SQL scripts that are provided with the product.
