Uninstall the Confluence connector from a console
You can uninstall the IBM Connections Connector for Confluence from a console interface.
Before starting
Before starting the following procedure, you need to:
- Install the Installation Manager.
- Run the silent install recording and generate the skip directory.

About this task
The console interface displays the same options as the graphical uninstallation wizard, except in text form.
Procedure
- Generate your own response file as follows.
- AIX , Linux™, and Linux on System z :
- Edit the following line in the generate_other_responsefile.sh file to specify the response file directory that you generated during the silent installation.
./install -record <your response file name> -skipInstall ./skip
where <your response file name> is the directory path to your response file.
For example:
./install -record ../../ConnectorsConfluencer/LC_linux.rsp -skipInstall ./skip
- Enter the following command to start the recording:
./generate_other_responsefile.sh
Microsoft™ Windows™:
- Edit the generate_other_responsefile.bat file to specify the response file directory that you generated during the silent installation.
- Enter the following command to start the recording:
generate_other_responsefile.bat
Click Uninstall in the first panel, and then complete the following panes. Click Finish and close the installer.
A response file is then generated.
Start the silent uninstall.
- Change to one of the following directories.
- AIX, Linux, and Linux on System z:..\InstallationMananger\eclipse
- Microsoft Windows:C:\Program Files\IBM\Installation Manager\eclipse
- Enter one of the following commands to install the connector:
- AIX, Linux, and Linux on System z:
./IBMIM --launcher.ini silent-install.ini -input <LC_HOME>/silentResponseFile/LC_uninstall.rsp -log ./uninstall.log
- Microsoft Windows:
.\IBMIMc.exe --launcher.ini silent-install.ini -input <LC_HOME>\silentResponseFile\LC_uninstall.rsp -log .\uninstall.log
Note: You can replace the response file and log file with your own files if needed. The <LC_HOME>\silentResponseFile\LC_uninstall.rsp file is the default response file.
What to do next
Delete the Confluence installation folder and all its contents from the system. If you do not perform this step, you might not be able to install the connector again.
