Delete temporary files

Delete temporary application information from the IBM WebSphere cache on each application Server.

About this task

WAS creates a temporary copy of some application information that it extracts from EAR and WAR archives. In some instances, WebSphere does not recognize that the temporary information is out of date and uses the old data even though the application has been updated.

To delete the old temporary data and regenerate the temporary application information...on each node in your deployment:

Procedure

  1. Stop all instances of WAS in your IBM Connections deployment.

  2. Delete all the subdirectories that are located under the profile_root/temp/<cell_name> directory, where <cell_name> is the WAS cell name.

For example, on Microsoft Windows: C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\temp\cell01\.

      On Linux: /opt/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01/temp/cell01/
