Configure scheduled tasksThe SearchService MBean is used to access a service that provides an administrative interface for adding scheduled task definitions to the Home page database.
To configure scheduled tasks for Search, use the SearchService administration commands to add and delete scheduled task definitions, and or to enable or disable indexing task definitions in the Home page database.

Use SearchService administrative commands to add scheduled task definitions for the Search application to the Home page database.
Configure indexing tasks for the social analytics widgets
Use SearchService wsadmin commands to create indexing tasks and run one-off tasks for the social analytics widgets. The social analytics indexes are updated nightly by default.
You can perform a number of steps to verify that Search index creation has completed successfully and the Search service is working as expected.

When you install IBM Connections, Search indexing is automatically configured.
