Install the Lotus Quickr connector in a network environment

When installing the IBM Lotus Connections connector for Lotus Quickrâ„¢ in a network environment, install the connector on each of the nodes in the cluster. You then need to perform a number of steps on the dmgr server to complete the network installation.

Install the Lotus Quickr connector on each of the nodes (primary and all of the subsequent nodes) in the deployment. For information on how to install the connector, see Installing the Lotus Connections Connector for Lotus Quickr.

After you have installed the Lotus Quickr connector on each of the nodes, perform the following steps to complete the network installation:

  1. Create the J2C authentication alias for the Lotus Quickr administrator account:

This alias is for the superuser to use when managing the Lotus Quickr wiki and teamspace services. The Lotus Quickr connector uses the superuser's credentials to access the wiki and teamspace services of the Lotus Quickr server.

    1. In the WAS admin console, select...

Security | Secure Administration, applications and infrastructure | Java Authentication and Authorization Service | JAAS | J2C Authentication Data | New

    2. Enter an alias name, user ID, and password.

    3. Click OK.

    4. Click Save, then click Save again.

    5. Take a note of the alias name.

  2. Copy the following configuration files from the primary node to the same location on the dmgr:

    1. communities-quickr-config.xml
    2. communities-quickr-config.xsd

  3. Edit communities-quickr-config.xml and replace the <comm:authentry> property with the alias name created in step 1. For example:

      <comm:authentry>DMserverCellManager01/quickrconnector</comm:authentry>

  4. Log in to the WAS admin console for the dmgr and select...

System administration | Nodes | All nodes | Full Resynchronize

  5. Restart appservers...

      Servers | Clusters

The Lotus Quickr Delayed Synchronizer propagates community membership changes to associated Lotus Quickr places if the Lotus Quickr server is down when a community change occurs. In a networked environment, you need to edit communities-quickr-config.xml to ensure that the Lotus Quickr Delayed Synchronizer is only enabled on one server.
