Install the Confluence connector in a network environment

When installing the IBM Lotus Connections connector for Confluence in a network environment, install the connector on each of the nodes in the cluster. You then need to perform a number of steps to complete the network installation.

For a network deployment, when you create the J2C authentication aliases for the Confluence administrator account and the LDAP bind user, create the aliases in the WAS admin console for the dmgr. You then need to install the Confluence connector on each of the nodes (primary and all of the subsequent nodes) in the deployment. For more information, see Installing the Lotus Connections Connector for Confluence.

After you have installed the Confluence connector on each of the nodes, perform the following steps to complete the network installation:

  1. On the file system of the dmgr, copy the following configuration files from the primary node to the same location as the dmgr:

    • communities-confluence-config.xml

    • communities-confluence-config.xsd

  2. Log in to the WAS admin console for the dmgr.

  3. Select System administration > Nodes, select the name of the primary node, and then click Full Resynchronize.

  4. Repeat step 3 for the remaining nodes in the cluster.

  5. From the main Integrated Solutions Console page, select Servers > Clusters.

  6. Select the check box beside the cluster containing the nodes that have been updated, and then click Stop.

  7. Select the cluster and click Start.

When the cluster starts, it first starts the application server. If this does not occur, start the application server by selecting Servers > Application servers and then selecting the check box next to the Web server for the feature, for example, server1. Then click Start.
