Configure default forward routing paths

Configure the default forward routing paths for the bus destinations used by IBM Lotus Connections.

Ensure that you have defined all of the bus links, from the WAS admin console...

The forward routing path routes a message from a destination on one bus to another destination, in this instance, on the foreign bus. To configure default forward routing paths, map the destinations that are deployed for each bus.

To configure default forward routing paths...

  1. Log in to the WAS admin console for each server.

  2. Select...

      Service Integration | Buses | bus_name | Destinations | Identifier column | destination_name

    For example, connections.communities.events.outbound.

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the destination properties page and edit the contents of the field...

      Default forward routing path

..by replacing the existing entry with the details of the mapping between the forward routing bus and the forward routing destination that you recorded in the bus destination mapping table. Use the following format:

      <Forward_Routing_Bus_Name>:<Forward_Routing_Destination_Name>

    For example:

      Connections_NewsServer_Bus:connections.news.events.inbound

  4. Click OK.

  5. Repeat steps 5-7 for each destination in the Destination resources area.

  6. Click Save.

Example

For an example of mappings from outbound destinations to inbound destinations, see the Sample bus destination mapping table topic.

Refer to a table with sample mappings from outbound destinations to inbound destinations.
